The Yorkshire Senior Team play in a very competitive Northern League and this week our very own Ces played his debut match in a Yorkshire victory over Cheshire.

Congratulations to Chris Green who on Sunday with scores of 69 & 69 returned the lowest 36 Hole total at the Yorkshire Inter District 6 Man Team Event staged at Halifax Bradley Hall G C and in turn reduced his handicap to +2. Congratulations to the TEAM, The Captain and to Cecil Bloice (1st team manager) on winning the Bradford 1st Division League last Friday night with a very tense but vital 6 - 2 defeat away to our nearest league rivals Shipley. Starting the night with an 8 point lead, we needed only 1 halved match to win the title. A full 2 points was gained by Bradford Strokeplay Champion Nigel Colbeck.

2016 is an important year for Cleckheaton as we put forward all four of our Bradford Union Teams into their respective top divisions, so it’s all the more significant that Club Member Martin Gaffney will be the Unions Team Captain this season.
Martin will be the 2nd Union Team Captain to come from our club, following in the footsteps of Chris Mowforth who held the position in 1980.
