C&DGC Golf Re-Commencement Update

C&DGC re-opened on Wednesday, 13th May 2020. We have closely worked along side guidance form the R&A, PGA & England Golf to re-commence play safely in these uncertain times. Please see below some of the things we have implemented as a Golf Club to ensure the safety of all its Members, Staff and Visitors alike:

– Play will be in a maximum of 2 balls
– Tee times will be 8 minutes apart
– Play will be holes 1 – 18, no 2 tee starts
– If you require a buggy, make your request to the Pro shop in the usual way
– A one way system will operate around the clubhouse for pedestrian traffic
– Do not walk uphill in front of the clubhouse
– Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before your tee time
– Park considerately
– Walk around the top side of the clubhouse and report to the Pro shop, there your attendance will be recorded on the time sheet
– Access to the locker room is via the Pro shop and is for use of the toilet facilities
– You may use the practice putting green for 5 minutes, no longer
– The new chipping area and bunkers are not available for use
– If you hire a buggy only one person can use it during the round
– The buggy must be wiped down before and after use
– Tee off only from the yellow tees markers, these will be the only tee markers on the course
– Play only one ball, practicing on the course is not permitted
– If your ball goes out of bounds, go to the point at which it crossed the boundary and play your next shot from there
– If your ball is lost, look for a maximum of 3 minutes then put a ball down where you think the ball is and continue play
– On the green play ‘Gimmes’ where reasonable, if the ball goes in the hole use a gloved hand or towel to take it out
– Play preferred lies in a bunker
– At the end of your round, leave the course from the 18th green in order to enter the car park

As always, please look out for each other and follow the rules that have been put in place in the Professionals Shop and around the Clubhouse. The one way systems, hand sanitizer stations and golf course measures are there for your safety. If we continue to work hard together to keep safe, we can continue to play the game we love.

Stay Safe from everyone at C&DGC
