CAPTAIN'S REPORT - FEBRUARY

It looks like the new shoots of spring are finally showing and the weather is on the turn.

Due to the weather, there has been little to report over December & January, but that’s all about to change, I’m sure.

The Green Staff have been busy over winter and have extended and levelled several tees. The 14th Yellow & White tees have been levelled and returfed. The 9th has also been levelled and returfed, with believe it or not, 10 ton of soil removed and stored to use on another project. The 17th tee has been extended by at least a third and returfed ready for the coming season.

I want to say a big  thank you to the Ladies’ and Rabbit’s Sections for their kind donations to the President & Captain’s Charity this year; The Motor Neurone Disease Association. A very worthy cause.

There will be further announcements regarding the charity throughout the year, so please keep a look out for them.

The Ladies have asked me to thank everyone for supporting their Christmas Hamper Draw. They managed to raise an amazing £1228, with £728 of that going to Cancer Research UK.  A huge success thanks to our generous members.
